The Second China Saxophone Conference and 2018 National Saxophone Annual Conference were successfully held in Beijing Huanghe Kyoto Convention Center from February 1 to 4, 2018. During the conference, the third enlarged meeting of the first council of the Chinese Saxophone Society, the National Saxophone Industry Forum, the National Saxophone Popular Teaching Forum "Impression in Tianjin" Ning Dayong's original saxophone concert and the opening ceremony concert of the second China saxophone conference, the jazz concert of the second China saxophone conference and Lu Tingquan's teachers and students' jazz concert, the national saxophone teaching team demonstration concert and Gu Zhaoming's teachers and students' teaching and learning orchestra concert, and the third "Jingyin Hui" returned young performers' concert and closing ceremony concert, The 11th National Saxophone Teacher Certification Training Course and the Central Conservatory of Music Education "Professional Skills: Saxophone" Teaching Level Certification Course, the fourth "Silk Road" China International Saxophone Art Exhibition and 2017 National Saxophone Teaching Achievement Exhibition. During the conference, a harmonious artistic atmosphere permeated the whole process, which is the interpretation and layout of the 19th National Congress, the opening year of the culture and art industry!

On the evening of February 1, the opening ceremony music of the Second China Saxophone Congress and the original concert of Ning Dayong, "Impression of Tianjin", was successfully held. The concert demonstrated the superb performance skills of teacher Ning Dayong and the history of Tianjin. It gave a vivid patriotic lesson to all the participants. Li Yaojin, the former head of the Propaganda Department of Hebei District of Tianjin and the chairman of the Hexi District CPPCC, watched the concert, Thank President Li for his strong support for the development of Chinese saxophone!
On the evening of February 2, the Second China Saxophone Congress Jazz Concert and Teacher and Student Jazz Concert of Mr. Lu Tingquan kicked off. Mr. Lu Tingquan, the founder of the Chinese Jazz Saxophone and the honorary president of the Chinese Saxophone Society, led the outstanding students, young jazz performers Wang Zongxing, Zhang Yongfeng, and Chen Weiqiang, associate professor of the Beijing Modern Conservatory of Music, presented a high-level jazz concert for everyone!
On the evening of February 3, Gu Zhaoming, a famous saxophone player and educator, led 15 teaching teams in Dalian Teaching Base to show us a teaching concert with superb skills. All members of the teaching team graduated from famous music schools abroad and at home under the cultivation of Gu Zhaoming, leading the way for the standardization of saxophone teaching!
On the morning of February 4, the third meeting of the first Council of the Chinese Saxophone Society was held in the majestic voice of the national anthem. Zhao Daguang, a professor of Jilin University of Arts, Jia Yuxing, a teacher of Saxophone in Taiyuan, and other co elected directors attended the meeting. First of all, Xie Jinqi, the executive vice chairman, delivered a welcome speech, Yin Zhi, the acting chairman, presented the 2017 work report, the 2018 work plan, and the work instructions from superiors since the 19th National Congress. Wang Zhen, Zhao Daguang, the vice chairmen Gu Zhaoming, Ning Dayong and Liu Jianbo made work reports respectively. The meeting was chaired by Secretary General Wang Shun and reported on the development of members in 2017!
After the conclusion of the Council on February 4, the first National Saxophone Industry Forum was held. Zhang Xiaolu, a professor of Shanghai Conservatory of Music and president of Shanghai Saxophone Research Association, gave a keynote speech on "The State of the National Saxophone Industry and the Construction of Saxophone Orchestra". Zhang answered questions and answered questions for everyone from all aspects of teaching and learning popularization and training. The speech was brilliant!
On the afternoon of February 4, 2018, it was a time worthy of memory of the Saxophone National Congress. The National Popular Teaching Summit Forum was held. Lu Tingquan, a visiting professor of Saxophone at Tianjin Conservatory of Music and Jilin Academy of Arts, Zhang Xiaolu, a professor at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Wang Zhen, a professor at Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, Zhao Daguang, a professor at Jilin Academy of Arts, Ning Dayong, a visiting professor at Tianjin Conservatory of Music, Gu Zhaoming, a professor at Dalian Academy of Arts Mei Song, the saxophone tutor of Sichuan Conservatory of Music, Yue Shuming, the saxophone tutor of Guangxi Academy of Arts, and other industry experts discussed with more than 50 teachers from the frontline of nationwide saxophone popularization teaching. The theme of the forum was the relationship between saxophone professional teaching and universal teaching. The forum was hosted by Dr. Zhang Jianan, Deputy Secretary General of the Chinese saxophone Society and Associate Professor of saxophone at Henan Normal University, The forum serves the development of nationwide saxophone universal teaching. In the future, we will collect more practical topics and invite more industry elites to talk about the direction and path of universal teaching development!
On the evening of February 4, 2018, the second China Saxophone Conference and 2018 National Saxophone Annual Conference closed in the closing ceremony concert and the third "Jingyin Hui" concert for returned young overseas performers. We have held three "Jingyin Hui" concerts for returned young overseas performers, mainly in the form of public welfare, to build a display platform for returned Xinxin students, and develop and disseminate Saxophone culture, Let the national saxophone level connect with the world as soon as possible!
The annual national saxophone annual meeting has come to an end, but we still have a long way to go to popularize and develop saxophone. We must rely on the joint efforts of all our industry colleagues in the country to forge ahead! 2018 is the opening year of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
